Vijay Marie School of Nursing

Vijay Marie School of Nursing is a unit of Vijay Marie Educational Society a Charitable Institution. It is a Registered Society and also a Religious Minority Educational Institution established primarily for the benefit of the members of the poor Christian young girls. It is open educational institution, to all persons irrespective of religion, caste or community and is recognized by India Nursing Council, Andhra Pradesh state Nursing Council. The addition of various departments in our hospital, professionally trained nursing personnel were a felt need of the hospital, as a response to which a school of nursing was founded in 1973 with a view to educating girls from low socio-economic strata and preparing dedicated young women for humanitarian service in hospitals and communities or wherever they are called upon to care for the suffering humanity. |
PHILOSOPHY |
The educators of the school of Nursing, Vijay Marie Hospital believe that the students undergoing training in this institution, should be individually followed and developed into mature, responsible persons, capable of giving comprehensive nursing care namely preventive, Promotive and curative care in the hospital and community. We believe that they should be capable of serving that sick with a tender, compassionate heart following the foot steps of Christ, our redeemer. We believe in promoting an all round development of the students with a special emphasis on the spiritual, moral, intellectual, cultural and social aspects needed for a for professional nurse, who will uphold high professional standards and will contribute to the nation as an effective citizen.The School of nursing, Vijay Marie hospital professes the "Lamp to Lighten" being enlightened with Divine inspirations and scientific knowledge they go forth to "Lighten" the burden of humankind. |

The Prospectus and the Application form may be obtained personally at the school of Nursing office. On payment of Rs. 300/- or M.O. |
- The application form should be completed by the applicant her own handwriting
- The duly filled in application form and other enclosures should reach the office on or before the specified date.
- Full name of the candidate as spelt in the SSLC record should be given in the application form and in all other related forms and correspondence.
- The Information given in the application should be correct information or suppression of any factual information in the application in the application would lead to disqualification and / or termination from the programme

Graduation ceremony of 39th Batch & lamp Lighting Ceremony of 44th Batch held 20th January 2018: It was the red lettered day for the institution. The long awaited day by the graduates of the day.Mrs. B. Vidyavathi, Registrar of TSNC was the Chief Guest for this auspicious occasion. This joyous event filled with an excellent Programme, awards and Prizes distribution for the graduates and the students. |

Health camps and Rallies:The students had participated in all the activities organized by the Government and other Non Governmental Organizations on different occasions and on significant days of the year. |
Independence Day:The independence day was Celebrated on a grand scale by our students who arrayed themselves colorfully. The students participated actively inter-class competitions on that day. |
Fresher's Day and Talent night:It was thrilling to see students trying to exhibit their talents. We had a good relaxed time. |
International Women's Day |
World day of the sick: The world day of the sick was Celebrated at the institution level. The days Liturgy was planned meticulously. The Sacredness of that auspicious day was felt tangibly. The maternal presence of Mother Mary was experienced by one and all. We had Solemn High Mass in which the new members were enrolled as CNGI associate members. |
