Sisters of Charity were Invited to run a small dispensary

A modest structure with 13 beds for adults and 6 beds for children.

It was named Vijay Marie Hospital & managed by Sisters of Charity since
1- 4 -1955
Vijay Marie Hospital was Inaugurated by Archbishop Mark Gopu on
8-12-1955
CRECHE was opened

GF - Pharmacy, Medical Store, OPD, LR, Maternity Ward (11 beds), OT

A wing attached to main building - Linen Room, office, X-ray & cellar - Laundry, Kitchen

NICU was Inaugurated

Golden Jubilee of Hospital & Silver Jubilee of School of Nursing

ICU and AMC were initiated adjacent to OT consisting of 4 beds
